Dr. Deepa Suhag received her Ph.D. in Biotechnology, 2016, Amity University Uttar Pradesh.  She is currently an Assistant Professor Amity Institute of Nanotechnology, Amity University Haryana. She is having multiple research grants from Indian Council of Medical Research and SERB in the areas of wound healing and tissue regeneration. Her research interest delves into into the development of novel, bio-mimetic, polymeric biomaterials as 3D tissue co-culturing systems for drug screening as well as tissue engineering. These hydrogel interfaces can also be employed as bio-imaging tools, thereby providing a promising platform for a single theranostic tool. She is keen on developing of 2D nanomaterials as platforms for real time biosensing.

Dr. Hitesh Kr. Sharma, B. Pharm, M. Pharm, Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences. His research focuses on developing novel therapeutic combinations of antibiotics and phytomolecules to combat drug-resistant pathogens using in silico, in vitro, and in vivo methodologies. He possesses extensive expertise in antimicrobial analysis, mechanistic studies, and targeted therapeutics. He, is passionate about addressing antimicrobial resistance as a global health challenge, striving to integrate traditional medicine with modern science. His goal is to develop innovative solutions that improve healthcare outcomes and contribute to surmount the global health crisis posed by antimicrobial resistance.

Omnarayan Agrawal B.Sc Chemistry (honours) from University of Delhi, and M.Sc Chemistry from G.L.A University. He has worked as Junior Research Fellow in UGC-DAE project under the guidance of Prof. Monalisa Mukherjee. He also worked as Visiting Research Assistant at Medger Evers College CUNY USA in the field of sodium ion batteries. He is currently pursuing his doctoral studies under Prof. Monalisa Mukherjee, where he has synthesized heterogeneous carbon nanomaterial-based nanocomposite hydrogels for biomedical applications like antibacterial and anticancer activity. Moreover, he is exploring the role of nanocomposite hydrogel in drug delivery and regenerative medicine.

Dr. Adeeba Shakeel received her Ph.D. in Medical Biotechnology from Amity University Uttar Pradesh, India, in 2019 under the supervision of Prof. Monalisa Mukherjee. Her thesis focussed on developing polymeric biomaterials for targeted delivery and biomimetic scaffolds. She then worked as a Research Associate at the All India Institute of medical sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, in Regenerative medicine, followed by a second post-doc at Khalifa University, Abu Dhabi, UAE. She is currently a Senior Researcher/Scientist at a prestigious Abu Dhabi government research organization, Technology Innovation Institute (Biotechnology Research Centre), UAE, leading a project in Regenerative medicine and disease modeling. She has published multiple peer-reviewed research articles with high impact and holds patents and awards as the best speaker. Her expertise lies in polymers, nanomaterials, tissue engineering, and regenerative medicine.

Dr. Aakanksha Agarwal completed her Master degree in Microbiology from Gurukul Kangri University, Uttrakhand, India in 2012. She worked in Reproductive Cell Biology Laboratory, National Institute of Immunology, New Delhi, India as a Junior Research Fellow from 2014-2016 in the project entitled “Microbicides for Prevention of HIV Transmission and other Sexually Transmitted Infections: In vitro Efficacy and Pre-Clinical Safety Evaluation”. She received her PhD in Molecular Sciences and Engineering from Amity Institute of Click Chemistry Research and Studies (AICCRS), Amity University, Noida, India in 2022. Her doctoral research was focused on the synthesis and characterization of carbon-based nanomaterials, algal nanobionics, and recent advances towards sustainable production of biomass, bioactive components and lipid molecules from microalgae using heterogeneous carbon nanomaterials. Presently, she is serving as a Post-doctoral Research Associate in Washington University, St. Louis, Missouri, USA. Her current research interest is pathogenesis and potential therapeutic development of viral proteins.

Dr. Misba Majood, has done her PhD in Molecular Science and Engineering under Prof. Monalisa Mukherjee. She is currently a Post Doctoral Fellow in The Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and Secretary of Johns Hopkins Post Doctoral Association. Research Interests: Cancer biology, Biomaterials and Developmental biology. Research Skills: Cell culture techniques including both 2D and 3D cultures, stem cells isolation from multiple sources, nanoparticle synthesis, hydrogel synthesis, immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry. She has done 13 publications in collaboration with Prof. Mukherjee.

Radhika Chaurasia received M. Pharm from National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) Hajipur, India. Presently, Women Scientist in DST sponsored project and pursuing PhD at Amity Institute of Click Chemistry and Studies (AICCRS), Amity University, Noida, India. Currently she is working on Carbon quantum dots and evaluating its biomedical applications.

Dr. Rohan Bhattacharya received his Bachelor's and Master's in Biotechnology from Amity University (New Delhi, India) in 2018 as a Silver Medalist. In 2019, he joined Duke University to pursue his Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering. His research focuses on applying in vitro stem cell-based models to recapitulate human kidney function and disease states, uncover disease mechanisms, and identify new therapeutic targets. He is the recipient of NIH T32 Lew’s Predoctoral Fellowship (2020), Excellence in Science Award from the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) (2020), Duke Scholar in Molecular Medicine (DSMM) Award in the Endocrinology, Metabolism, and Cardiovascular Disease Track (2022), Novartis in vitro Pharmacology Fellowship (2022), NIH T32-Duke Center for Biomolecular and Tissue Engineering (CBTE) Outstanding Research Achievement Award (2023), and Gordon Research Conference Travel Award (2023). He was selected as the Conference Session Chair at TERMIS-EU Krakow (2022) and served as the Discussion Leader at the Developmental Biology Gordon Research Conference (2023). His works have been featured in Forbes Magazine, EurekAlert AAAS, UKTODAY News, AZAR Innovations, and others.

Dr. Piyush Garg completed his master’s in biotechnology from Amity University, India. He has done his internship at Amity Institute of Click Chemistry Research and Studies, India where he worked on hydrogels for drug delivery. Currently, he is pursuing a PhD at the University of Waterloo investigating degradable materials for ocular drug delivery.

Sampathkumar Jeevanandham received his B.Tech in Energy and Environmental Engineering from Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU), Coimbatore (2017), and M.Tech in Nanotechnology from Amity University, Noida (2019). During his post-graduation studies, he joined Amity Institute of Click Chemistry Research and Studies (AICCRS) as a Research fellow, developing 2D photocatalysts, carbon based heterostructured nanomaterials, hydrogel nanocomposites, and biohybrid metal-organic frameworks (MOF) for CO2 sequestration targeting environmental sustainability. Currently, he is pursuing PhD in Chemistry (Nanomaterials Chemistry), from Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH), South Korea. His current research is focused on developing nanospace-confined electro-reductive (EChem) synthesis of 2D-Metal-based catalytic platforms for advanced electro-organic catalysis.

Abhyavartin Selvam did his B. Tech + M. Tech (Nanotechnology) at Amity University Noida from 2018-23. During which he has been awarded the first prize by Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited for his innovative approach of desalinating seawater using a nascent amalgamation of Janus membrane with  Metal-Organic Framework in the New Generation Ideation Contest 2021. Additionally, over the course of his degree he has been exposed to various applications of environmental as well as biomedical chemistry and has published many scientific publications in various international journals of high repute, along with filing patents. He has also received a research grant from the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology in collaboration with Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati under INUP i2i. He has been admitted to University of California, Berkeley to pursue his doctoral studies in Chemistry under the supervision of Prof. Omar M. Yaghi.

Dr. Arun Kumar is an Aspiring researcher specializing in Cardiovascular and Molecular Pharmacology. He is an Assistant Professor at Amity Institute of Pharmacy, Amity University, Gurugram, India. His impactful research focuses on molecular signaling and its association with myocardial infarction. Dr. Kumar possesses expertise in toxicological assessment, basic pharmacology research, histopathology, PCR/RT-PCR, Western blotting, and bioinformatics. He is skilled in animal models and has performed major and minor revival surgeries on rodents. Dr. Kumar's project, supported by prestigious organizations like ICMR, aims to identify biomarker candidates for early diagnosis and recurrence of myocardial reperfusion injury. His research, with a cumulative impact factor of 202.5, has been published in highly regarded scientific journals, covering drug discovery, cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, wound healing, and molecular pharmacology. As an Assistant Professor, Dr. Kumar actively contributes to teaching and mentoring students. Kumar Shivam is PhD fellow in Molecular Science and Engineering under the guidance of Dr. Ranjan Patra in Amity Institute of Click Chemistry Research and Studies, Amity University Noida, India. He obtained his Bachelor's degree in chemistry from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India. He completed his post-graduation in Analytical chemistry from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India. His current research is focused on designing and synthesis of novel porphyrin based nano conjugate and evaluating its therapeutic potential.

Bani Preet Kaur (Research Fellow, Amity Institute of Click Chemistry Research and Studies)

I hold both a bachelor's and a master's degree in biotechnology, with my bachelor's thesis centered on RNA sequence data analysis for esophageal squamous cell carcinoma. Driven by a new grown interest in genomics, I pursued a master's project focusing on viral genome sequencing and the intricate study of viral-host protein interactions. My passion for stem cell biology led me to join Professor Monalisa Mukherjee as a Junior Research Fellow, where I explore the innovative field of microenvironmental changes induced by carbon quantum dots to direct stem cell differentiation. My ultimate goal is to advance translational health research, contributing to the development of groundbreaking solutions in healthcare.

Uddipta Bhattacharya, a postgraduate with a Master’s degree in Biotechnology, carried out work at AICCRS synthesizing carbon quantum dots using green chemistry techniques and conducting translational research on zinc metal organic frameworks and their use as antibacterial agents against tuberculosis. Additionally, has experience in molecular diagnostics working in one of the leading diagnostic labs in the country
